Sudanese Finance and Economy Minister Mohammed Osman Elrekaby was hosted in MUSIAD Headquarters.
President of MUSIAD Abdurrahman Kaan hosted Sudanese Finance and Economy Minister Mohammed Osman Elrekaby in MUSIAD Headquarters on March 12th Monday with International Relations and Foreign Trade Commission. Also Central Bank Governor Hazem Abdelgadir Ahmed Babiker, Minister of State Elsadig Mohamed Ali Hasab Elrasoul, Ankara Sudan Ambassador Dr. Yousif Ahmed Eltayeb Elkordofani and his committee participated in the meeting. President of International Relations and Foreign Trade Zeki Güvercin, Member of the Board Halim Aydın, Deputy Secretary General Emrullah Büyükaslan and Foreign Relations Coordinator Özlem Bacak participated in the meeting on behalf of MUSIAD.
We Take Turkey as a Model
Talking in the meeting, Finance and Economy Minister Mohamed Osman Elrekaby mentioned that Sudan needed investments and technology especially in agriculture, husbandry and Turkey is a model country for them as a country which was developed in agriculture technologies.
Mentioning that they expected Turkish businessmen to bring their experiences on small and medium scale industry to Sudan, Elrekaby added that they were open to collaboration especially in subjects such as farm machinery, fertilizer, modern irrigation and agriculture systems.
Also talking about renewable energy, Elrekaby pointed out that they had a large potential about solar and wind energy and they expected Turkish investors to develop it. In addition to that, he underlined that there were opportunities in many sectors in Sudan and they were open to all kinds of collaboration.
Special Attention to Sudan
Taking the floor in the meeting, President of MUSIAD Abdurrahman Kaan said he had gone to opening of MUSIAD Khartoum branch, had stayed there for a while and had a chance to travel Sudan and see the region. He also added that they had completed collaboration renewal works with some businesses whose needs were identified. Kaan completed his speech saying that they had established a sub-commission working specifically for Sudan and they prioritized the development of Sudan.
