Opening of Tbilisi branch of MUSIAD was made with the participation of Abdurrahman Kaan, General President of MUSIAD
Besides Abdurrahman Kaan, General President of MUSIAD, Fatma Ceren Yazgan, Ambassador of Turkey in Tbilisi, Özgür Yücel, President of MUSIAD Tbilisi Office, Elguja Meladze, President of Georgia Employers' Association, İbrahim Uyar, President of Foreign Organization, İsrafil Kışla, parliamentarian of AK Parti from Artvin, Hüseyin Şahin, parliamentarian of AK Parti from Bursa, Hüseyin Şanlı, Tbilisi Coordinator of Turkish Cooperation And Coordination Agency (TİKA), Celal Sancar, President of the Association of Georgian and Turkish Businessmen (GÜRTİAD), presidents and branch chairpersons and representatives of MUSIAD and other guests participated in the opening ceremony.
Made statements to journalists after the opening ceremony, Kaan, General President of MUSIAD, said that they carry on their activities in total 73 countries and stated that they opened 196th branch abroad.
Said that “MUSIAD has no mission to make money here, MUSIAD is both an economic institution and a fund platform and we have a characteristic to unite hearts thanks to our trade diplomacy, bringing countries together.”, Kaan stated that two countries are economically connected to each other and reminded that Georgia is next door neighbor of Turkey.
Stated that they opened an office in Tbilisi today to expand economical relations between Turkey and Georgia more, Kaan said that they will sign an agreement with authorities of Chamber of Commerce of Georgia within Tbilisi visit to enhance trade.
Emphasized that Turkey’s export volume with Georgia is around 210 million dollar, however, Georgia’s export volume with Turkey is at low level, Kaan said that “We will work in away that export of Georgia will be increased as well as they will open to the world in the third markets. Our goal is to expand this.”.
Yücel, President of Tbilisi Office of MUSIAD, also said in his speech that they thank the Turkish government and MUSIAD central management for the support they provided and they will carry on contributing to development of economical relations between Turkey and Georgia.
Made a speech after opening ceremony, Yazgan, Ambassador of Turkey in Tbilisi, Kışla, parliamentarian of AK Parti from Artvin and Şahin, parliamentarian of AK Parti from Bursa, stated that MUSIAD’s Tbilisi office is extremely important in terms of enhancing economical relations between Turkey and Georgia.

April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day is celebrated in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia. Abdurrahman Kaan, General President of MUSIAD, Fatma Ceren Yazgan, Ambassador of Turkey in Tbilisi, Özgür Yücel, President of MUSIAD Tbilisi Office, İbrahim Uyar, President of Foreign Organization of MUSIAD, İsrafil Kışla, parliamentarian of AK Parti from Artvin, Hüseyin Şahin, parliamentarian of AK Parti from Bursa, Hüseyin Şanlı, Tbilisi Coordinator of Turkish Cooperation And Coordination Agency, Celal Sancar, President of the Association of Georgian and Turkish Businessmen, Selçuk Baş, TMW Georgia Director of Turkish Maarif Foundation, Taner Canpolat, Headmaster of Tbilisi Maarif School, Turkish Businessmen, children and theirparents participated in the program organized by Turkish Embassy in Tbilisi.
In the organization carried out in the garden of embassy, Yazgan said “Today, we have a really happy and proud day here today, but more importantly, we celebrate for our children.”.
Ambassador Yazgan stated that everyone experiences the pride of being a Turk and a citizen of the Republic of Turkey.
In the event students of TMV Tbilisi school and Erisiyon, Georgian Folk Dances Group gave a concert.
