MUSIAD Accelerates Trade Diplomacy

Abdurrahman Kaan, General President of MUSIAD, İbrahim Uyar, Foreign Organization and İdris Demirhan, Dubai Representative of MUSIAD have made some contacts in Dubai to improve “trade diplomacy”.

Abdurrahman Kaan, General President of MUSIAD, İbrahim Uyar, Foreign Organization and İdris Demirhan, Dubai Representative of MUSIAD have made some contacts in Dubai to improve “trade diplomacy”. Paid a visit to Erdem Zan, Consul General of Republic of Turkey in Dubai, within the program, the committee made contacts with Ahmed El Tayer, who carried out activates in the fields of Finance, Communication and Transportation as minister in Dubai between 1973-2004, Ahmad Al Haddad, CEO of JAFZA Free Zone Dubai, and Saeed Ahmed Saeed, who played an important role in architecture of the region and Palm Islands, Dubai.

Turkey-Dubai relations, innovations to be made to improve trade diplomacy, free trade areas and investments to be made between two countries were discussed in the negotiations conducted. Abdurrahman Kaan, General President, made evaluations during the negotiations. Kaan said “Turkey is the country which achieved the biggest growth among G-20 countries. At the same time, it is a big market with its 81 million of population.  In addition to this, it is possible to reach the most important trade centers of the world with a 5-hour flight thanks to its geopolitical position. 

Dubai and Turkey have a trade volume of 1.6 billion dollar. We need to cooperate in order to increase this.”.

The MUSIAD Committee ended its contacts by exchanging ideas regarding models to be set in the Free Trade Areas and Turkey.
