Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) Reception in Belgium

     MUSIAD opened Belgium office in Brussels with the participation of MUSIAD President Abdurrahman KAAN.

     Opening reception was held at Crowne Planza Brussels.

    Important messages were given at the opening ceremony, which was attended by a large number of businessman, politicians and distinguished guests, including Turkey's Permanent Representative to the EU Ambassador Faruk Kaymakçı, Turkish Republic's Brussels Ambassador Levent Gümrükçü and Alderman of Economy, Employment, Commerce and Cults Mr. Etienne Noël.

     Speaking at the opening ceremony, MUSIAD Belgium's President Hayri Apaydin said: “In Belgium, which has a population of approximately 12 million and 60 percent of the foreign population is Muslims of Turkish and Moroccan origin, we are aware of the importance of confidence in trade.”

     MUSIAD Belgium's President Hayri Apaydın said, "The city of Brussels, which we are currently in, is a political center. It has 9,000 lobbying company and approximately 90,000 lobbies. Most importans examples of this is the Customs Union Agreement which signed in 1995 between Turkey and European Union. As an accredited non-governmental organization to the European Parliament, we are aware of our responsibility in this negotiation."
